PROVISIONAL Minutes of a Meeting of the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING  of the Council for 2006 held on

Minutes

 

The Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of 23rd June 2005  (Minute 562) were accepted as a correct record.

 

690.     AGM 2006

(i)  The Chairman’s Report for 2005, as printed in Neewmachar News No 143, p. 1 was proposed for adoption by RL, seconded by AB and accepted  nem con.

(ii) The Interim Financial Statement for 2005-6 prepared by the Hon. Treasurer, Mrs Fiona Duncan, and attached to the principal copy of these Minutes showed a balance of £2632.13 in the main account and a balance of £5329.24 in the Newsletter Account.  Although several payments remained to be paid, it was agreed that the generally healthy state of the finances allowed the Council to take further modest initiatives.  Mrs Duncan was thanked for her careful stewardship of the Council’s finances.  Her Report was proposed for adoption by the Chairman and accepted nem con.

(iii) In accordance with Clauses 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 of the Constitution, the following elections to the Council’s offices were made.
